When it arrived it was very light and that was a surprise and disappointment to me. However it has turned out not to be a problem. It is sturdy and stable but also incredibly easy to move. Had it been heavy as I expected it would probably have been more of an obstacle in the room. As it is it moves very easily with a nudge of the foot!.
