Before buying for Christmas....
Pause and consider! If you are not a devotee of fresh juices and worshiping on the altar of antioxidants, you may find juicers being a nine day wonder and soon confined to the cupboard together with the electric carving knife. I started off giving this juicer five stars. Now look!
This is a good juicer but my, oh my, all that washing up (rinsing mostly)! After a good juicing, the inside of the machine looks like the mealtime tantrum of a two-year old. To clean, having removed all the pulp: first, the plastic juicer top and food spout; secondly, the shredder (which is a bit of a fiddle to wash thoroughly); third, the large inner sleeve that holds the shredder, fourth, the plastic fruit and veg ‘pusher’ and fifth, the big pulp collecting box. I don’t why it’s called a pulp collecting box because 90% of the pulp has been scattered all over the juicer’s plastic innards. Finally there is the jug, its lid and the foam separator. Your family may wonder why the sink draining...
