Worth the effort
I love the Norm 03's beautiful organic design. With this product you are really paying for the huge talent that's been invested in conceptualising this amazing shade. To buy an alternative original design of this standard ready constructed you'd be looking to a top design house like Flos or a talented designer-maker such as Tom Raffield. And this would cost you at the very least a few hundred pounds.
It took me well over two hours to put this lamp together, but then I enjoy crafts and proceeded slowly to ensure a result as close to perfection as possible. It is not difficult to do, and the well-illustrated instructions are provided in a number of languages including English. For me, the time invested helps me to enjoy the result and feel I own it a little more!
If you don't want to be bothered with self-assembly then the lamp isn't for you. You would, though, have to dig much deeper for something premade that's anywhere near this beautiful, or compromise and opt...
